Daedong Mobility joins the Daegu International Future Auto and Mobility Expo

- Puts mobility/robot solutions on full display, including electric scooters, limousine golf carts, smart chair robots, and logistics robots
- Daedong offers plenty of things to see for visitors with working mobility products and autonomous smart chair demonstrations

Daedong Mobility (CEO Won Yu-hyun), Daedong’s subsidiary specializing in smart mobility solutions, shared on October 23 that it is joining the “Daegu International Future Auto and Mobility Expo (hereinafter referred to as “DIFA 2024”) at Daegu EXCO from October 23 to 26.

DIFA 2024, now in its 8th year, is co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Daegu Metropolitan City Government. It is one of the leading mobility exhibitions in Korea with more than 190 domestic and international companies registered every year, ranging from electric, hydrogen, and autonomous vehicle manufacturers to supplies specializing in core components and the mobility infrastructure such as motors, batteries, and chargers, as well as Urban Air Mobility (UAM) products.

Daedong Mobility, Daedong’s subsidiary specializing in smart mobility solutions, joined DIFA 2024 co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Daegu Metropolitan City Government to showcase a diverse lineup of cutting-edge mobility products, including electric scooters, premium golf carts, smart chairs, and transport and logistics robots. The image is a wide view of Daedong Mobility’s booth at DIFA 2024.

Daedong Mobility operates in three mobility business categories: ▲Gardening (riding lawnmowers, multi-purpose transport vehicles); ▲Leisure (golf carts); and ▲Personal (electric scooters, smart chair robots). At this year’s DIFA, the company will showcase its core mobility products, including electric scooters and premium golf carts, and also smart chair robots and transport and logistics robots currently under development, to boost its status as a smart mobility company and promote its capacity to develop cutting-edge robots among visitors.

Specifically, the electric scooter on display is the GS100 and its entry version, the GS100 Lite, which was released in July this year. The GS100 series is aimed at the delivery rider market using replaceable batteries charged at a battery station. The series has been localized 92% in terms of sourcing its parts, and is produced directly at Daedong Mobility's Daegu S-Factory, boasting quality that is a cut above other Chinese products. The GS100 series comes as standard with dash cams on the front and rear, and a telematics system to help ensure safer driving. It offers both direct charging and battery swapping, making the GS100 convenient for last-mile delivery riders who depend on motorcycles, or for the ordinary consumer looking for an everyday mobility option.

Daedong Mobility is also introducing a premium limousine golf cart developed to offer golfers a special traveling experience. The cart features a luxurious design and a wide range of convenient features. It has luxury seats with ventilation/heating/massaging functions, which are rarely seen in regular golf carts, air conditioning, electric fans, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and a voice-activated guidance function to improve passenger safety.

Moreover, customers visiting the exhibition hall will get a chance to see smart chair robots and transport/logistics robots that utilize Daedong Group’s innovative technologies. The smart chair robot presents a new concept for electric mobility, and it comes with collision avoidance and driver stability functions. Daedong Mobility plans on giving demonstrations at DIFA 2024 to show just how effective the smart chair robot’s autonomously driving function is to prospective customers. Transport and logistics robots play a role in raising work efficiency by automating issues that often occur in various workspaces.
