Daedong Introduces Europe’s First 7-Year Free Warranty Covering All Tractor Models

- Extended coverage in both years and operating hours sets a new industry standard, drawing strong local response as Europe’s only policy of its kind
- Company reinforces customer support through a comprehensive upgrade of its European quality management and after-sales service systems
- Boosts brand competitiveness in Europe by enhancing customer experience across all touchpoints, including the introduction of the "Connect" app

Daedong, a leading company in future agricultural technology, announced on the 9th that it will launch a 7-year free warranty program for all tractor models sold across Europe.

At the heart of this program is the significant extension of powertrain coverage - one of the tractor’s most critical components - from the existing five years or 3,000 hours to seven years or 5,000 hours. Daedong has also expanded its warranty coverage to include emissions-related components, which will now be protected for five years. In Europe, most of the more than 40 agricultural machinery brands typically provide free warranties lasting three to five years. Daedong is currently the only company offering a full seven-year warranty across all tractor models.

This bold policy is rooted in Daedong’s confidence in the durability and quality of its tractors, a reputation built over the company’s 78-year history. The new program is designed not only to provide long-term value to its European customers but also to clearly demonstrate the company’s unwavering commitment to product reliability and customer trust. In line with the introduction of the seven-year warranty, Daedong is also restructuring its quality management system and strengthening its after-sales services across Europe. These efforts will enable the company to better meet the diverse farming conditions of each country and to respond more effectively to the increasingly demanding expectations of European customers.

Daedong’s decision to extend its seven-year warranty program in Europe, which has been in effect since March, is receiving an enthusiastic response from the market. Customers particularly appreciate that the extended coverage is provided at no additional cost and that a warranty of seven years is unprecedented in the region. Distributors and dealers across Europe have also been actively promoting the policy, and it is already showing a positive impact on sales performance. Daedong plans to continue the seven-year free warranty on a trial basis until the end of 2025. Based on feedback from local customers and dealers, the company is considering making it a long-term policy starting in 2027.

In addition, Daedong is driving digital transformation as part of its strategy to strengthen service competitiveness. Last month, the company officially rolled out the "KIOTI Connect" app, a smart farm machinery management platform, in 11 major European countries, including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, and Poland. The app features an AI chatbot powered by a vast pool of agricultural data and provides a suite of real-time remote management tools. These include vehicle monitoring, remote diagnostics, work history tracking, geo-fencing, and SOS emergency calls. Together, these functions help farmers operate more efficiently and manage their equipment with greater confidence.

In the second half of this year, Daedong plans to expand the availability of the Connect app to all European markets. By January next year, every tractor model sold in the region will also come standard with a telematics (TMS) device that integrates seamlessly with the app. Through initiatives such as digital customer support, a reinforced parts supply system, and service enhancements driven by operational data, Daedong aims to deliver a more comprehensive customer experience while further strengthening its brand competitiveness in Europe. With these efforts, the company is targeting a 3.6% market share in Europe this year and expects to reach sales of KRW 100 billion in the region.
