Daedong Unveils North America’s First 25-Horsepower Compact Tractor with Enclosed Cabin, the "CS2530"

- Daedong, the No. 2 brand in the US market for tractors under 30 horsepower, strengthens its position with a new model that maximizes performance and operator convenience
- First in its class to feature an enclosed cabin with heating and air conditioning, allowing year-round productivity even under severe weather conditions
- Delivers the highest horsepower output in its category, with 13.6% better fuel efficiency and 50% lower oil consumption compared with the previous model

Daedong (Co-CEOs Kim Jun-sik and Won Yu-hyun), a leader in future agriculture, announced on June 12 that it has introduced the "CS2530," a new sub-compact tractor (SCT) that becomes the first in North America to feature an enclosed, climate-controlled cabin with both heating and air conditioning.

The launch of this model is intended to strengthen Daedong’s presence in the SCT segment, which represents 21% of the North American market for tractors under 100 horsepower. As the No. 2 brand in the US market for tractors under 30 horsepower, Daedong aims to reinforce its market leadership by delivering a model with exceptional performance and customer value. At the same time, the company plans to position the CS2530 as a premium tractor within the SCT category, further expanding its business in this important segment.

Sub-compact tractors (SCTs) are 15- to 25-horsepower machines typically used for a wide range of tasks on small farms, residential properties, and gardens. While they are more affordable, their lower horsepower often limits performance, and operators have frequently noted a lack of convenience and comfort in this category. To address these concerns, Daedong developed the "CS2530" with a clear focus on maximizing both performance and operator convenience, incorporating customer feedback throughout the design process. The "CS2530" made a strong impression at two of the largest agricultural machinery exhibitions in North America last February, capturing attention not only from visitors but also from industry peers.

Its standout feature is being the first model in the SCT segment equipped with an enclosed, climate-controlled cabin. Traditionally, SCTs have been built with open platforms, and while cabins could sometimes be added as aftermarket options, customers often complained about poor finishing and limited visibility. By integrating the cabin from the assembly stage, the CS2530 ensures greater stability and durability while providing operators with a comfortable working environment. Most importantly, it enables consistent productivity throughout the year, even under harsh conditions such as extreme heat, cold, snow, rain, or dust.

The model also delivers stronger power with improved efficiency, achieving higher performance while lowering fuel consumption, a combination that sets it apart as both powerful and economical. The "CS2530" delivers a maximum torque of 70 Nm, the highest in its horsepower class among tractors sold in North America. This gives the SCT the capability to perform heavy-duty tasks. Fuel efficiency has been improved by 13.6% and oil consumption reduced by 50% compared with the previous model, the "CS2520." Since fuel and oil are key cost factors for farmers, these improvements help extend working hours and improve overall profitability.

The time required to attach and detach commonly used attachments such as loaders, backhoes, and mid-mowers has also been significantly reduced. The "CS2530" allows operators to connect attachments to the tractor automatically with simple controls, without leaving the driver’s seat. The mid-mower can be attached or detached in just 49 seconds, the fastest time in its class. The CS2530 also introduces options that significantly improve productivity. The self-leveling loader option automatically keeps the attachment level even when the tractor is working on a slope, while the 4-in-1 bucket option allows four different functions to be performed with a single attachment.

Additional convenience and safety features, such as telematics (TMS) technology usually reserved for higher-end models, further enhance the CS2530’s value. TMS gives operators an easy way to monitor the overall condition of the tractor, track the status of consumables, and check maintenance schedules. The tractor is also equipped with GPS-based features such as geo-fencing, which detects and tracks the machine if it moves outside a designated area, and a rollover safety system that automatically sends emergency alerts to designated contacts. Together, these features provide strong safeguards against theft and unexpected accidents.
