“Greenscape,” Jeju Daedong’s Future Agriculture Theme Park, Surpasses One Million Visitors

-. Greenscape reaches one million visitors in just eighteen months and is emerging as a major tourism destination in Jeju
-. Jeju Daedong introduces a new regional tourism model with an experiential complex inspired by Jeju’s natural landscape
-. Strengthening Greenscape Market and developing new products using local specialties to reach an annual target of one million visitors

Jeju Daedong (CEO Won Yu-hyun), a subsidiary of Daedong and a leading company in future agriculture, announced on November 6 that “Greenscape,” a 69 hectare (210,000 pyeong) future agriculture theme park under development near Saebyeol Oreum in Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, has surpassed one million cumulative visitors.

Greenscape, the future agriculture theme park being developed by Jeju Daedong (CEO Won Yu-hyun), has surpassed one million visitors. At the entrance, visitors are welcomed by the Greenscape signage that marks the gateway to the park.

Greenscape has expanded rapidly since the openings of “Arte Kids Park”[i] in April 2024 and “Jejudang Bakery Café”[ii] in May 2024. Arte Kids Park is Korea’s first media art–based indoor kids café, and Jejudang Bakery Café operates with a farm-to-table concept using ingredients grown directly in its smart farm. Building on these two core facilities, Greenscape has broadened its content offerings and reached one million visitors in only about eighteen months, demonstrating strong growth momentum. Jeju Daedong noted that a new model combining agriculture, tourism, and the arts is taking shape quickly. The company views this development as a sign that Greenscape is becoming a representative tourist destination in Jeju.

Jeju Daedong cited several factors behind this achievement. These include architecture inspired by Jeju’s natural landscape, indoor experience spaces and content that can be enjoyed regardless of weather conditions, the Great Field[iii] where visitors can enjoy Jeju’s native silver grass, walking trails that connect to Saebyeol Oreum and Idal Oreum, and the activation of experience-based tourism content. The company explained that Greenscape successfully overcame the challenges of its mid-mountain location, which typically makes attracting tourists more difficult, by offering differentiated content that combines experience and relaxation.

This year, Greenscape has strengthened its presence as a cultural destination for both tourists and residents. Using its 69-hectare site, the park has hosted pop-up stores from well-known brands, exhibitions by Jeju-based artists, and a variety of cultural programs. Jejudang Bakery Café has become one of Greenscape’s signature attractions with its agricultural-themed bakery items, smart farm[iv]–inspired menu, and scenic surroundings. “Greenscape Market,” which opened in May, offers products from local small businesses, artisans, and sixth-industry enterprises. It has quickly developed into a platform that connects Jeju-based creators and producers with visitors.

Jeju Daedong plans to expand Greenscape Market in 2026 and reinforce its role as a regional partnership company by developing and launching new products that use Jeju’s local specialties. More than thirty regular local sellers will be secured to increase visitor dwell time, and a biweekly operating schedule will be established to grow the market into a representative outdoor marketplace in Jeju. The company also plans to develop new food items using green bio crops grown by Daedong and local Jeju specialties, and to increase sales by commercializing these products.

Furthermore, Jeju Daedong will continue improving facilities and landscaping to encourage repeat visits from tourists and local residents. For the upcoming Christmas season, interior and exterior lighting will be decorated with a Christmas theme to create a memorable year-end atmosphere. The park will also prepare photo zones and event spaces for families and couples.

Greenscape features three zones: Public Zone, Private Zone, and Smart Zone. The Public Zone, which visitors can enjoy freely, is being developed first. The Private Zone will follow with accommodations and community facilities such as a hotel, condominium, and spa. The Smart Zone, which will feature a smart farm and experience-based facilities, will be developed sequentially.

[i] About Arte Kids Park Arte Kids Park is Korea’s first media-based indoor kids’ park, jointly invested and developed with d’strict, which operates numerous “Arte Museum” media exhibition halls nationwide and overseas. The facility has a site area of 13,495 m² (4,083 pyeong) and a total floor area of 4,829 m² (1,460 pyeong), and is characterized by a variety of attractions utilizing media art on the floors and walls. It is divided into four zones: analog play facilities, media experience play areas, media art exhibition spaces, and convenience facilities. The maximum capacity at any one time is 600 people.

[ii] About Jejudang Bakery Café Jejudang Bakery Café is a large-scale café with a site area of 19,354 m² (5,854 pyeong) and a total floor area of 2,976 m² (900 pyeong). It offers parking for over 470 vehicles and has a seating capacity of 310 people. The café serves a total of 29 types of beverages, including coffee, tea, and juice, as well as 49 varieties of bakery items shaped like various agricultural products, and 15 restaurant menu items such as pasta and risotto. A notable feature is that some of the beverages and restaurant menu items use agricultural products grown directly in the smart farm adjacent to the café.

[iii] About Great Field The Great Field is an open healing garden of about 8.26 hectares, designed as a wide, natural space that brings together Jeju’s sky, wind, and light. Visitors can immerse themselves in the island’s colors and atmosphere as the landscape changes through the seasons. Canola flowers in spring, hydrangeas and cosmos in summer, silver grass in autumn, and the quiet beauty of winter make it a popular photo spot all year round.

[iv] About Jejudang Smart Farm The Jejudang Smart Farm is a compact yet advanced facility of about 132 m², with a maximum height of 11 meters. It plays a central role in putting the “farm to table” philosophy into practice for F&B operations. Using technology developed by Daedong’s research team, the farm grows five types of crops, and the harvest is used as key ingredients in Jejudang Bakery Café menu items. The farm operates a complete cycle from cultivation to menu development and customer sales, offering true freshness from farm to table and supporting Jeju Daedong’s growth as a food-tech–driven future agriculture company.
