Daedong Tractors and Combines Ranked No. 1 in the 2025 Korean Standard – Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI)
-. Tractors place first for five consecutive years and combines for three, reaffirming Daedong’s product competitiveness
-. Pursuing the “robotization of agricultural machinery” with a Level 4 autonomous AI tractor to launch in March 2026
Daedong (Co-CEOs Kim Jun-sik and Won Yu-hyun), a leader in future agriculture, announced on October 29 that its tractors and combines have both been selected as the top-ranked products in the agricultural machinery category of the 2025 Korean Standard – Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) administered by the Korean Standards Association (Chairman Kang Myeong-soo).
The KS-QEI is a quality evaluation model jointly developed in 2004 by the Korean Standards Association (KSA) and the Korean Society for Quality Management. It measures product excellence and user satisfaction based on assessments from consumers and experts with direct product-use experience. Evaluations cover two quality dimensions: usage quality, which includes performance, reliability, durability, usability, safety, and accessibility, and emotional quality, which includes image, recognition, and novelty.

This year’s evaluation was conducted from June to September through online consumer surveys and one-on-one expert interviews. Daedong’s tractors and combines received the highest scores in their respective categories, earning the No. 1 ranking. Daedong tractors have now placed first for five consecutive years since 2021, and its combines have ranked first for three consecutive years since 2023. The results reaffirm the superior quality of Daedong’s products and strengthen its position as a leading agricultural machinery brand in Korea.
Daedong tractors are widely trusted in domestic farming environments for their durability and advanced technologies. The Level 3 autonomous tractor introduced in 2023 has significantly improved work efficiency and is recognized as a product leading the shift toward future-oriented agriculture.
Daedong is accelerating the advancement of autonomous tractor technologies under its vision for the “robotization of agricultural machinery.” Based on this work, the new HX tractor scheduled for release in March 2026 will be Korea’s first Level 4 autonomous AI tractor. Powered by vision AI, it will assess field conditions independently, determine the optimal work mode, and carry out multiple autonomous operations. Through continuous AI model training, the tractor’s operational precision will keep improving. It is expected to deliver high-accuracy farming performance without geographical constraints, positioning it as a highly anticipated next-generation tractor.
Daedong combines are distinguished by their precision and stability in harvesting. The new DH6135-A 6-row combine, launched in August, is the first in Korea to feature yield monitoring and Level 3 autonomous operation. It also supports wireless firmware updates (FOTA), allowing users to upgrade to the latest features. Level 3 autonomous operation reduces operator driving time substantially. When harvesting approximately 33 hectares (100,000 pyeong) in a day, work that previously required 8 to 9 hours of operator driving can be reduced to around 2 hours, significantly lowering operator fatigue.
