Daedong to Supply DJI Agricultural Drones and Deutz-Fahr Tractors in Korea Starting 2026, “Accelerating” Future Farming Innovation

-. Company targets Korea’s agricultural drone and high-horsepower tractor markets to support mid-to-large-scale farms and advance precision agriculture
-. DJI drones to support an end-to-end service model covering crop imaging, analysis, prescription, and automated field operations
-. Deutz-Fahr partnership to help validate advanced precision agriculture technologies and internalize high-horsepower tractor capabilities

Daedong (Co-CEOs Kim Jun-sik and Won Yu-hyun), a leader in future agriculture, announced on November 26 that it has signed domestic distribution agreements with global drone manufacturer DJI[i] and German agricultural machinery company Deutz-Fahr[ii]. Beginning next year, Daedong will supply agricultural drones and tractors of 150 horsepower and above through its nationwide dealership network.

Daedong has signed a domestic distribution agreement with German agricultural machinery manufacturer Deutz-Fahr. Following the signing ceremony held on November 13 at AGRITECHNICA 2025, Choi Hyeong-woo, Head of Daedong’s Korea Business Division (left), poses for a commemorative photo with Deutz-Fahr representatives.

The company emphasized that these agreements represent more than distribution expansion. They form part of a strategic initiative to strengthen its competitive edge in future agriculture. Daedong will establish an official sales and service structure for DJI agricultural drones while introducing Deutz-Fahr’s high-horsepower tractors to reinforce its presence in both the drone and mid-to-large-tractor markets. These new product lines will broaden Daedong’s portfolio and expand domestic commercial capabilities, while advancing the company’s precision agriculture technologies through the adoption of leading global solutions.

Korea’s agricultural drone market is estimated at around 10,000 units in total, with approximately 3,000 new units purchased annually. DJI holds more than 70 percent domestic market share, and Daedong’s selection as an official partner positions the company to integrate drones into a wide range of business models connected to its smart machinery and precision agriculture services. Sales and service will be offered through Daedong’s network of more than 130 dealerships nationwide. Beyond sales, Daedong will connect drone-collected field data to its proprietary AI agriculture platform to provide variable fertilization and other crop-growth management services, thereby further enhancing its precision agriculture offerings. The company plans to use this expansion to accelerate its broader future-farming ecosystem.

Meanwhile, the Deutz-Fahr tractors being introduced by Daedong are equipped with the Deutz TCD 6.1 engine, delivering strong torque and high fuel efficiency along with performance optimized for demanding field conditions. Daedong will promote these tractors through bundled precision agriculture packages and targeted regional strategies focused on markets with strong demand for high-horsepower equipment.

A key strength of Deutz-Fahr’s lineup is support for globally recognized precision agriculture technologies, including TIM (a function that automatically adjusts tractor speed and hydraulics via ISO-BUS based on attachment requirements), satellite-based auto-steering, and the integrated iMonitor3 system, which consolidates multiple advanced functions into a single interface. Through these additions, Daedong aims to achieve three strategic objectives simultaneously: build market responsiveness, secure core technology for high-horsepower tractor development, and accelerate commercialization of precision agriculture solutions. The company will leverage accumulated field data, validation of ISO-BUS-enabled smart attachments, and technology internalization to deepen its capabilities across the value chain.

Daedong is strengthening its domestic lineup for mid- to large-horsepower farming operations with the introduction of Deutz-Fahr tractors. Equipped with the TCD 6.1 engine, the models deliver strong torque, excellent fuel efficiency, and compatibility with advanced precision-farming technologies. The photo shows one of the Series 6 models to be offered in Korea.
