-. The shareholder-friendly management approach continues with a treasury share cancellation on July 14, 2026, following 30 consecutive years of dividends and a bonus issue.

-. The cancellation of approximately 4.78% of the 6,380,000 issued shares will reduce the total to 6,070,000 and is expected to increase per-share value.

-. Five core strategies target KRW 240 billion in revenue by 2030, while shareholder return policies will be further strengthened.

Daedong Metals (independent representatives: Kim Jun-Sik and Lee Pung-woo), Daedong Group’s specialist in high-value-added cast components, announced on July 8, 2026, that it has decided to cancel its entire treasury shareholding, worth KRW 1 billion, to enhance shareholder value.

Daedong Metals began purchasing treasury shares on the open market after its board decided on June 11, 2026, to enter into a treasury share acquisition trust agreement. On July 2, 2026, the company completed purchases totaling KRW 1 billion, the acquisition limit. At a board meeting on July 7, 2026, it decided to cancel all 304,800 treasury shares acquired. These shares represent approximately 4.78% of the total number of issued shares. The cancellation will reduce the number of shares in circulation from 6,378,332 to 6,073,532 and is expected to enhance per-share value. The cancellation is scheduled for July 14, 2026.

The share cancellation is a tangible measure to return value to shareholders, reducing the number of shares in circulation and increasing per-share value. With this cancellation, Daedong Metals delivers on the ‘treasury share acquisition and cancellation’ plan announced in June 2026 and intends to continue strengthening its focus on responsible management and shareholder returns.

Daedong Metals has maintained its shareholder-friendly approach through dividends and bonus issues. It has paid dividends for 30 consecutive years, and in March 2026 it carried out a 100% bonus issue, allocating one new share for each common share held. In June 2026, its corporate value enhancement (“value-up”) disclosure set out medium- to long-term targets to achieve KRW 240 billion in revenue, a price-to-book ratio (PBR) of 2x and a return on equity (ROE) of 10% by 2030, among other goals.

The company is also stepping up concrete growth initiatives to drive this corporate value enhancement. Daedong Metals is pursuing five core strategies to achieve its 2030 targets: expanding orders for high-value-added castings; commercializing advanced materials for smart farms; commercializing new alloy-based advanced materials for robotics and mobility; expanding manufacturing AX; and strengthening ESG management. The company plans to maximize the profitability of its existing casting business while expanding into advanced materials and industries of the future.
