Daedong Mobility, Moving, and Barogo take the lead in expanding eco-friendly mobility infrastructure.
Daedong Mobility (CEO Yu-Hyun Won), a smart mobility company of Daedong Group, announced on the 17th that it has signed an MOU for the expansion of eco-friendly mobility infrastructure with eco-friendly mobility sharing platform startup Moving (CEO Sang-Myung Lee) and the hyperconnected ecosystem platform Barogo (CEO Tae-Kwon Lee).
Following this agreement, the three companies will expand their electric two-wheeler manufacturing and distribution, and battery swapping station (BSS) installation businesses based on their technical expertise and professionalism. In particular, they plan to expand the installation of BSS in line with the ongoing Regional Zero Emission Vehicle Conversion Brand Project [1] promoted by the Ministry of Environment. Recently, Moving was selected as the leading BSS installation operator in five regions (Seoul, Daejeon, Gimhae, Changwon, and Jeju) through this project. In addition, each company has agreed to establish an electric two-wheeler ecosystem in the domestic last-mile logistics market by conducting eco-friendly marketing and coexistence campaigns for riders, and R&D on delivery mobility through this agreement.
In addition, Daedong Mobility separately signed a supply contract for the electric scooter GS100 and battery stations with Moving. Daedong Mobility will sequentially supply 300 GS100 electric scooters and 30 battery stations to Moving by the first half of next year. Moving will distribute these products to the regions selected for the Regional Zero Emission Vehicle Conversion Brand Project.
Specifically, the GS100 features Battery Swapping System (BSS), eliminating the waiting time for charging. With a single charge, it can travel up to 70 km (when traveling at the constant speed of 60 km/h) and has a maximum speed of 90 km per hour. Features like smartphone holder, height-adjustable windscreen, full helmet storage space, front and rear black boxes, and smart key maximize convenience and safety for riders. In addition, the use of domestic components for the motor, powertrain, battery, and other general parts ensure high manufacturing quality.
