Daedong hosts Data Intelligence Lab training to strengthen AI skills

- Goal is to bolster the AI capabilities of employees to promote AI-driven future businesses. Training in June and July focused on how to use generative AI
- More than 200 managers (i.e. 1/3 of all managerial positions) completed training to internalize generative AI skills and improve AI literacy
- In addition to generative AI education, Daedong is also reinforcing business intelligence using data analysis platform Tableau

Daedong, a leader and pioneer in future ag-tech (Co-CEOs Kim Jun-Sik and Won Yu-Hyun), announced on July 23 that it hosted new Data Intelligence Lab training for its executives and employees to promote the actualization and acceleration of AI-driven future businesses through company-wide AI Transformation (AX)[1].

Training sessions were prepared and delivered by Daedong's HR Team and DT Strategy Team in order to reinforce the general understanding of digital technology and increase work efficiency by utilizing generative AI to strengthen company businesses powered by AI technology going forward.  The Lab program featured seven total sessions (three sessions for Team Managers, and four sessions for staff) over a two-month period from June to July at the Daedong Vision Campus (located in Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do) and a training center near the Seoul office. More than 200 managers, roughly 1/3 of all managerial positions at Daedong, completed the training.

Daedong, a leader and pioneer in future ag-tech (Co-CEOs Kim Jun-Sik and Won Yu-Hyun), announced on July 23 that it hosted new Data Intelligence Lab training for its executives and employees to promote the actualization and acceleration of AI-driven future businesses through company-wide AX (AI Transformation). Training sessions were prepared and delivered by Daedong's HR Team and DT Strategy Team in order to reinforce the general understanding of digital technology and increase work efficiency by utilizing generative AI to strengthen company businesses powered by AI technology going forward.

In particular, Daedong provided specific use cases and means for utilizing AI in the day-to-day operations of a team with a focus on “understanding generative AI and practical ‘work-smart’ innovations” for Team Managers. The training helped lay a foundation as to why we need generative AI and how to apply AI technology at work. Moreover, in order to offer training across the entire company, Daedong hosted four staff sessions, which was double the number of sessions it had previously planned.

The Lab program for staff members stretched across two days, and focused on improving the internalization of generative AI skills and AI literacy[2]. Specifically, training included both theoretical education for establishing the concept of generative AI and practical training with various generative AI tools for practical applications and the overall capacity building of employees. Practical sessions offered insight into (1) the concept of generative AI and important use cases; (2) utilizing ChatGPT-4o; (3) prompt engineering; (4) utilizing image generative AI; and (5) analyzing data with ChatGPT.

Meanwhile, Daedong also offered training on data-based decision-making processes in addition to generative AI training and shared some useful Business Intelligence (BI) using Tableau, a data analysis platform provided by Salesforce, earlier in the first half of this year.
