Daedong launches connected service for agricultural machinery overseas for the first time in the industry

- The “Connect” app, built to serve as an AI agricultural assistant, is now open in North America. Helps with remote management of agricultural machinery and offers an agricultural ChatGPT service
- The Connect app enables constant monitoring and inspection of agricultural machinery, extending product lifespan and enhancing satisfaction with preemptive services
- The app is expected to increase customer brand preference and loyalty. Daedong anticipates growth in parts and service sales with enhanced product management

Daedong (co-CEOs Kim Jun-Sik and Won Yu-Hyun), a leader and pioneer in future agriculture, announced on November 25 that it has launched “KIOTI Connect,” the industry's first connected service app for agricultural machinery targeting the North American market.

Daedong initially launched the Connect app in 2021, providing remote monitoring services for agricultural machinery used across the agricultural market in Korea. Since then, pursuing a “major AI transformation in domestic agriculture,” the company has significantly expanded the app's features and services to develop it into an agricultural solution platform that functions as an AI agricultural assistant. In fact, Daedong has introduced the industry's first agricultural ChatGPT service “AI Daedongi,” along with customized farming information services and an agricultural information community, and continues to advance these services.

Aiming to create an agricultural AI assistant that provides solutions tailored to each country's agricultural environment in the global market, the company has first launched “KIOTI Connect” in North America. The app offers ▲Remote Monitoring Services for agricultural machinery, ▲Smart Remote Diagnostic Services, and the ▲Agricultural LLM ChatGPT Service “AI KIOTI.” The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Daedong, a leader and pioneer in future agriculture, has launched the “KIOTI Connect” app, the industry's first connected service platform for agricultural machinery targeting the North American market. The app provides the AI KIOTI feature, which offers real-time, customized farming information based on agricultural data, regardless of time or location, and it also includes a remote monitoring service for agricultural machinery.

The Remote Monitoring Service for agricultural machinery offers a total of five key features: (1) Vehicle monitoring feature; (2) Vehicle management features help prevent breakdowns by performing regular maintenance, such as replacing consumables, thereby maximizing the performance and lifespan of a tractor; (3) Work log feature records data on working hours, travel distances, fuel consumption, and work details, enabling users to establish efficient work plans; (4) Safe zone and time settings feature; (5) SOS emergency call feature sends text messages to a designated phone number, allowing for swift action in the event of a tractor is stolen or involved in an accident (e.g. rollover). The "Smart Remote Diagnostic Service" allows service technicians to conduct remote initial diagnostics before arriving on the scene when signs of machinery failure occur, thereby minimizing repair time and cost losses.

"AI KIOT" provides specialized, user-tailored farming information based on agricultural data in real-time, regardless of time or location. Daedong plans to train its system with data specifically on tractors and agricultural machinery to provide answers regarding the use and maintenance of agricultural machinery in the first quarter of next year. This year, the company will prioritize giving medium and large tractors, such as HX and RX models ranging from 60 to 140 horsepower, access to the Connect app. By the end of next year, it aims to grant the entire range of tractor models exported to North America and Europe access to the app.

Daedong expects that differentiating its services, including AI-powered KIOTI, along with connected services offered by top-tier global brands in the North American market, will improve brand preference and loyalty among customers. Also, by identifying signs of machinery failure and providing parts replacement and repair services, the company anticipates an increase in parts/service sales. This approach is also expected to prevent breakdowns, maintain consistent product performance over the long term, and enhance overall user satisfaction.
