Daedong (co-CEOs Kim Jun-sik and Won Yu-hyun), a leader and pioneer in future agriculture, shared news from its “2025 Partnership Day” event on February 5, which got underway to promote win-win cooperation and mutual growth with some of its most notable parts suppliers.
Partnership Day is an event where Daedong shares its business vision, detailed plans, and past achievements, and an opportunity to express the company’s gratitude for the efforts made by its partners. During this year’s event, Daedong announced its “5 major purchasing strategies” to make its products more competitive this year. It includes ▲establishing a new program to discover ideas for improving cost and quality competitiveness, ▲introducing a new Master Timing Chart (MTC), ▲responding to future business product development projects such as robots and mobility, ▲improving the joint purchasing of raw materials, and ▲promoting shared growth and mutual cooperation. Last year, Daedong pursued an ESG response in the supply chain using a win-win payment system, laid the groundwork for the joint purchasing of raw materials, built a raw materials database, and established the partnerships it needed when securing raw materials.

Daedong then shared its performance in 2024 and future strategies, highlighting the consolidation of its existing agricultural machinery business, acceleration of new businesses, and growth of overseas market share despite a shrinking global market, along with mid to long-term goals to ensure continued growth. The company communicated its vision to expand into AI, robotics, and smart farming in line with its five future businesses (smart agricultural machinery, mobility, farming, robotics, and CCE).

Meanwhile, this year’s event got underway on February 28 at the Hotel Inter-Burgo Exco in Daegu. More than 210 guests attended, including 31 executives and employees from Daedong and representatives and executives from roughly 150 partner companies.
