Daedong (Co-CEOs Kim Jun-sik and Won Yu-hyun), a leader and pioneer in future agriculture, announced on March 12 that it participated in CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, North America’s largest construction equipment trade show.
Held every three years in Las Vegas, CONEXPO is the largest construction equipment exhibition in North America, bringing together more than 2,000 companies and over 100,000 industry professionals and visitors from around the world. At this year’s event, held from March 3 to 7, Daedong made its debut under the KIOTI brand. The company operated a large-scale booth spanning approximately 743㎡ indoors and 279㎡ outdoors, presenting its compact construction equipment (CCE) lineup to North American customers.
At the indoor booth, the compact track loader TL750 and skid steer loader SL750 were featured as core models in the CCE lineup. Designed to optimize on-site operations and improve operator convenience, the two models have been key drivers of Daedong’s CCE expansion in North America since their launch in 2023.
The outdoor booth featured live demonstrations in a simulated jobsite environment, allowing visitors to experience firsthand the performance, operability, and real-world application of the skid steer and compact track loaders. Visitors were able to directly assess driving stability, responsiveness, and the versatility of various attachments.
Especially notable was Daedong’s first public unveiling of its mini excavator (MEX), which drew strong interest from industry professionals and visitors. Mini excavators are a key equipment category with high utilization in the North American CCE market. At CONEXPO, Daedong further solidified its strategy to expand its construction equipment lineup beyond skid steer loaders and compact track loaders to include mini excavators. Product managers were on-site at the booth, engaging with customers and providing detailed insights into application scenarios, future product plans, and KIOTI’s broader roadmap for expanding its construction equipment portfolio.
Building on 79 years of accumulated expertise in agricultural machinery design and manufacturing since its founding in 1947, Daedong is strategically expanding its CCE business in North America. The company aims to establish itself as a trusted brand in the region by applying the durability and quality proven in agricultural machinery to its construction equipment lineup. Since last year, Daedong has accelerated efforts to recruit specialized construction equipment dealers across North America, and is targeting CCE sales of over KRW 100 billion in the region this year.
